In order to structure content better on the Bounty0x platform, there are two main types of bounties: external bounties and internal bounties. The difference between both is very simple.
External bounties: Bounty hunters submit work through an external platform, Bounty0x will not review submissions or distribute rewards. Since external bounties are tracked externally, the submissions are not visible on the Bounty0x platform.
Internal bounties: Bounty hunters submit work through the bounty0x platform, Bounty0x will review submissions and approve/reject and distribute rewards.
When should you create an internal bounty?
Internal bounties should be created when you would like Hunters to submit work through Bounty0x. This has many benefits, namely efficient submission storage, automated reviewing of submissions and automated reward distribution.
When should you create an external bounty?
External bounties should be created when the task has already been posted on a different platform and you only want to leverage the userbase of Bounty0x to drive more attention to it. Or if you are tracking submissions through an external spreadsheet instead of through the bounty0x platform.
How to create an external bounty?
If you are a bounty host, and your bounty is instructing users to complete an external spreadsheet to track the work, then it should be listed as an "external bounty". For external bounties, we are unable to review submissions and distribute rewards.
1. Click on the "Add Bounty" Button
2. Select the "External" Category
3. Fill out the Bounty fields and Click "Save"
