We have received many questions from Bounty Hunters about how they can earn larger rewards in video bounties.
Below are some guidelines from our Reward Distribution manager Bryant Holland.
Videos must offer a unique viewpoint about the project. Videos may not just read off the whitepaper, website, or one-pager. Videos may also not read from an article while displaying the website. The content is described by the audio must match what is being displayed in the video! This is the biggest factor that determines the reward.
The video must be easy to understand both through the audio and through the visuals. The audio must be loud enough to hear and the background noise must be very minimal.
This correlates with how unique the video is. Videos must indicate that you've put in a good amount of effort into creating the video. If you do more research and discuss this in the video, then you are almost guaranteed a high reward. The amount of effort you put in is easily noticed by the length of the video and the content you cover.
Videos must receive a decent amount of views before even being considered to receive a reward. If your video receives very little views, then it did not provide any value to the host and you will not receive a reward. However, if it receives a lot of views but lacks in any of the factors mentioned above, you may receive a smaller reward as the factors above take precedence over this.
